I still can hear the silent foot steps
Of a timid girl of eleven walking down the corridor
From the principal’s office…to the gate
Treading like a small kitten…….
She had no courage to look into the class where her
Friends were in their lessons…
She felt guilty of not bidding them adieu
Who never knew that she is leaving for ever!
She was rolled into her shell of shyness and fear
If momma leaves her there what will happen to me?
This was her dilemma
She went back to her papa crushing all his hopes
He was all in distress when he saw her coming back leaving the school
With no idea of the future….
But…..years and her perseverance proved her academic excellence
The girl who always suffered the guilt that she had wronged her papa
That she could not continue even after the school father gave her support
What a timid girl?
But with great perseverance had grown
In all her brilliance and made dad proud
An unchangeable decision to obey always papa n momma
That put her into an acid test…throughout life…..
She studied what her papa wanted her to
And married to whom momma wanted her to do
And gave up all her career to satisfy every one who stepped into her life
She got right that none had time for her
Nor the concern …..dejected and desolate for years..
Then she comprehended that to her
Love was a mirage …
Having realized she became a stream of love herself
And now, at times …..you may find her in distress
But she seldom shares with any one….
For she always knew ……and she still feels
The behemoth power of love
Her veins and sinews run with
Love and are love alone
A word of love turns her exuberant
A sentence of friendliness melts her ….
She is always reminiscent of her past
And takes it that neither career nor riches
That makes man good
It’s the true love that unbound him from all shackles
She has no regrets of the past or present
And does not carry the load of future
And so her life may not amuse some
But many think her to be awesome!
Either praise or blame for her it means the same….
And so ….
Now there is an ever ending smile she carries as she used to
Her top girl badge in her school
And now I will tell you folks about her
With all the hurricanes and typhoons she had put up with
And the blooms and fragrances of affection a few times
Here stands before you that puny girlie turned
A four and a half decade old woman
And today too I hear the silence
Of her steps though not in timidity but in great humility…
Walking back into the school with all her experiences bitter and better
Like the one who walked out decades ago in agony
Now too she is the same emotional, childlike who knew
Only to embrace all trifles with a smile!
The silent angst she always hid from the world
May be no one paid heed
None empathized …
But she a determined human being
After more than three decades stands before you
With no inhibitions and in humble submission
LOVE! Love! love …………these are the only two syllables that
Kept her alive and this is the word
That will save the world that
The mankind is always dreaming…
She never dreamt …she never fantasized
But she had an ardent faith in love
And she lives every moment with love and literature
This is the story of a girl in love
Who fell in love with love!
Her ultimate destiny
Dear friends!
On this day of love
If at all you find this love smitten creature around you
Have a sweet word with her
She, like a kid will snuggle to your heart
Give her a small pat and a gentle hug and assure her
That she is still a living being
And please shed a loving tear for her
When she is gone…
For if you don’t ……
Her loving soul will never rest in peace!!!!!
